Wilco Windows & Siding

Before We Start

  • Move any items away from the home
  • Take down decorative pieces from both exterior and interior walls
  • Finalize your paint colors and complete the color selection sheet
  • Protect or relocate any sensitive plants or bushes near the home
  • Consider purchasing updated light fixtures, outlet covers, vent covers, house numbers, doorbells, and similar items

Phase I: Removal, Inspection, & Install

  • Remove existing items such as light fixtures, outlet covers, vent covers, house numbers, doorbells, and similar components
  • Remove existing siding and house wrap down to the studs
  • Inspect the framing and reinforce or replace any damaged studs (includes replacement of up to eight studs)
  • Inspect existing insulation and fill or replace any intermittent voids
  • Install new Hardie Wrap, Hardie Siding, and Hardie Trim
  • Perform a full yard clean-up

Phase II: Clean, Caulk, & Paint

  • Clean and caulk/seal all areas to be painted following James Hardie best practices
  • Apply two coats of Sherwin-Williams paint to all contracted areas; trim is face-painted
  • Perform yard clean-up

Phase III: Punch List & Walk Through

  • Reinstall previously removed items or install any new items purchased by the customer
  • Kyle/Marcus review the home to identify any outstanding tasks
  • Address final items and complete a walk-through with the homeowners
